Our Mission

Kerala Coffee Limited is dedicated to building a sustainable and climate-resilient future for coffee growers in Kerala. Through the Carbon Neutral Wayanad Program, we aim to double farmer income sustainably, empower tribal and smallholder farmers, and promote biodiversity conservation.

Carbon Neutral Coffee Park

The Carbon Neutral Coffee Park is a flagship initiative under the Government of Kerala’s Carbon Neutral Wayanad Program. It is designed on the triple helix model of innovation, bringing together government, industry, and academia (including TU Delft, Wageningen, and other European universities).

• Hub-and-spoke model for decentralized coffee processing
• Scientific interventions for climate resilience
• Certification and branding for international standards
• Integration of carbon credits and biodiversity conservation

Empowering Farmers

Wayanad produces 90% of Kerala’s coffee, with over 85% grown by small farmers. Kerala Coffee Limited supports these farmers by:

• Facilitating trade of 20% of Wayanad’s coffee
• Ensuring fair pricing and quality standards
• Providing training and exposure to modern technology
• Promoting diversification of crops and supplementary income sources

Coffee Museum & Experience

Kerala Coffee Limited is developing world-class facilities to showcase Kerala’s coffee heritage. Visitors can enjoy Coffee Museums, Coffee Experience Centers, and farm tourism, ensuring involvement of youth, women, and tribal communities in every step.
